Spelman College, a leading historically Black college for women in Atlanta, achieved a milestone with seven co-valedictorians in the Class of 2026—the highest number in the institution’s history. All seven graduates maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout their undergraduate studies, embodying excellence in academics, leadership, and community impact.The group, affectionately known as“The Spelman Seven,” includes Alexis Sims, Nia-Sarai Perry, Cori’Anna White, Aiyana Ringo, Alyssa Richardson, Sophia Davis, and Mariama Diallo. Their diverse academic backgrounds span fields such as biochemistry, sociology, philosophy, political science, documentary filmmaking, and more.This record-breaking achievement highlights the power of an HBCU education and the strength found in sisterhood.
