The HBCU Radio Preservation Project (RPP) is preparing to return newly digitized historic audio to Central State University’s (CSU) radio station, WCSU 88.9.This is part of an open house celebration that is set to take place on Wednesday, May 13.A spokesperson says the project has preserved 24 hours of original WSCU programming dating back to the station’s launch in 1962.WCSU holds a unique place in the broadcasting industry, as it is the nation’s first federally licensed HBCU radio station and Ohio’s only minority-owned, non-commercial public radio outlet.
