Oscar Robertson, a legendary American basketball player, known as

“The Big O,” excelled in both college and professional basketball, and is still known as one of the greatest players

of all time. He is often the player against whom all others labeled “versatile” are judged, and he may remain the standard forever. 

During his 14-year NBA career with the Cincinnati Royals and the Milwaukee Bucks, Robertson became the top-scoring guard of all time, amassing 26,710 points, which ranks 15th in NBA history. 

Robertson’s career included winning an NBA championship, an NBA MVP award, and being a 12-time NBA All-Star.

As President of the NBA Players Association, Mr. Robertson led a landmark lawsuit that resulted in the “Oscar Robertson Rule,” which established NBA free agency for players.
