While Angela Perry’s days on the court were complete when she graduated from college, these days, she’s courtside and online sharing her insights into women’s basketball. With the ongoing WNBA season, she has grown her audience with thoughtful comments, clever critiques, and decisive, often humorous commentary on issues surrounding women’s hoops.Perry played college ball at Fayetteville State University, an HBCU school that competed in the highly competitive CIAA. She passed on a couple of top-tier schools that wanted her to play point guard. “I had never played the point; I would have been terrible at that position,” said Perry. “I was a shooter. I had a great four years there. We had winning seasons all four years. We didn’t win the [CIAA] championship, but we did go to the Division II NCAA Tournament my junior year.”About a year ago, Perry was thinking about how much she loves TikTok and women’s basketball. Friends encouraged her to post some of her commentary. “In February 2024, I decided to start actually making [videos] about what I’m talking to my friends about and see where that goes,” she said.
