The dictionary definition of FAVOR is “friendly regard shown towards another, especial by a superior.” FAVOR in the Bible means “an exceptional act of kindness and privilege from God.” God’s Favor supersedes ALL favors. God shows us favor when we confess and express remorse for our sins. “That ye may be the children of your Faith which is in heaven; for He maketh His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sendeth rain on the just an on the unjust.” He is an equal opportunity God and does not show FAVORTISM.
Now, this doesn’t mean that people who do bad things that are not of God, or do not get punish. The Bible says you reap what you sow, but that doesn’t mean God won’t show you a little favor along the way because that’s just how He is, full of grace, mercy and FAVOR.
So, how do we get more of God’s Favor?
1. Build an intimae relationship with God.
2. Be His Friend and let Him be your BEST FRIEND.
3. Be humble.
4. Strive to do His Will.
5. Seek His wisdom above everything and everyone else’s.
6. PRAY for favor. But the easiest way to get more favor from God is really simple: believe in Him and His Word. You know what the biggest favor God gives us? The undeserved favor to be able to spend eternal life with Him. NOW THAT’S FAVOR! There is a saying, “Favor ain’t fair.” Don’t let nobody fool you. Favor IS fair, specially when it comes from God.
Ultimately, the consensus among many theologians is that God’s love is unconditional and universal, but to be able to experience HIS FAVOR depends on your relationship with Him.
