Covid-19 Safety
The pandemic has affected every aspect of our lives, and this includes the voting process. Here are some tips to voting safely in-person during the coronavirus crisis.
1. Wear a mask and other protective gear. Be sure to wear your mask correctly, covering both your nose and mouth. Health experts recommend cotton masks with two or three layers of fabric. Bring gloves and protective eyewear or a face shield.
2. Keep at least 6 feet of space between you and those around you in line.
3. Polling locations should have hand sanitizer available for voters, but it doesn’t hurt to have your own alcohol-based sanitizer or disinfecting wipes.
4. Consider bringing your own marking instrument such as a pen or stylus to use when checking in to vote and for marking your ballot.
