Did you know that God is always with you? Well, He is. It says so in the Bible. Psalm 16:8 reads, “I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.” Now, you may need a little more proof that God is sitting next to you and is just waiting to help you and bless you. Here’s how you can check:
Speak His Name. Then pour out your heart to Him. God responds to His children when we call out His name.
Have a humble heart. James 4:6 says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
BELIEVE He is near. Sometimes we FEEL He is not near. Get out of your feelings. It’s not about what you feel, it’s about your FAITH. You have to have faith and believe He is near and tell Him that. He’ll hear you.
Sometimes we can’t sense God is near because there are too many distractions, too much noise. Take a deep breath and focus on Him (Colossians 3:1-2). Exhale the distractions and inhale His presence. Exhale the worries and inhale His peace.
One of the best ways to feel God near you is to read the Bible OUT LOUD! This will definitely help you to feel that He is near because you are connecting with Him through His words. Start to praise God! If you start praising Him, He’s going to jump right in the middle of that.
Let’s take this conversation to another level. God is not only near you, He goes BEFORE YOU! Deuteronomy 1:30 reads, “The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf.” It is such a blessing to know that we don’t have to fight our battles by ourselves and that He is in the midst of them, fighting them for us! THANK YOU GOD! God is EVERYWHERE! You don’t have to go anywhere to experience God’s presence. He is ALWAYS nearby.
