Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Arkansas offers absentee ballots by mail to voters who will be unable to vote in person. All other voters are expected to vote in person. Arkansas offers early voting.

Vote early
Arkansas voters can also vote before Election Day. The early voting period runs from Monday, October 19, 2020 to Monday, November 2, 2020, but dates and hours may vary based on where you live.
What to bring
- You will need to show ID to vote in Arkansas. Acceptable forms of ID include: an Arkansas driver’s license; an Arkansas photo identification card; a concealed handgun carry license; a United States passport; an employee badge or identification document issued by an accredited postsecondary education institution in the State of Arkansas; a United States military identification document; a public assistance identification card if the card shows a photograph of the person to whom the document or identification card was issued; a voter verification card.
- If you’re voting for the first-time in Arkansas, registered to vote by mail, and didn’t submit a copy of your ID when you registered, you will need to show ID to vote. Acceptable forms include: a driver’s license or non-driver’s license ID; or a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document with your name and address.
- Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote a provisional ballot.
Who can vote
You have to register to vote before Election Day in Arkansas. You can find the deadline to register to vote in the “Dates and deadlines” section.
- To register in Arkansas you must:
- be a citizen of the United States
- live in Arkansas at the address on your voter registration application
- turn 18 on or before the next election
- not be a convicted felon (or have completely discharged your sentence or been pardoned)
- not claim the right to vote in any other jurisdiction
- not presently be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court of competent jurisdiction

- Vote by mail
- Review the absentee ballot application and confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements for voting absentee.
- Fill out the application completely.
- Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible. The deadline to request a ballot by mail is (received by) Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
- When your ballot arrives, read it carefully and follow the instructions to complete it and return it.
